Access to Justice
Defensores del Chaco, jointly with the Civil Association for the Equality and Justice (ACIJ in Spanish), have created a Center for Legal Support (CALC), in 2003. The main objective of CALC is to provide free juridical assessment to collective problems, like access to basic services.
The CALC activities are:
- Training and capacity building regarding citizens rights. At the moment, 50 training workshops have been developed, with more than 300 attendees from CSO.
- To promote a better articulation among networks, attorneys and students from Law Schools in order to provide free legal assessment to the community.
