A bit of history
The Defensores del Chaco Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1994; in Chaco Chico neighborhood, Paso del Rey (Moreno).
Defensores was born from the initiative of 12 young people which played football in the corners of the neighborhood. One day, they decided to carry out their dream: build their own club. Without resources, the adolescents cross to a big rubbish and left a poster with the legend: “Defensores del Chaco Club, Soon”. Deep inside, they were not only football fans, but they wanted to change reality”
Nowadays, Defensores has their own cultural and artistic center with three workshops rooms and a theatre for 250 spectators; and a big space to sports with a professional pitch and also, a Center Legal Support to the Community.
A team of 55 people coordinate the activities in which participates every week almost 1700 young and adults.
